ABOUT

Bristol Bay Shared Services, LLC (BBSS) is a subsidiary of Bristol Bay Native Corporation, (BBNC) an Alaska Native Corporation with operations in government services, construction, industrial services, and tourism. Established to provide the back office functions (accounting, contracts, HR, IT and payroll) to certain subsidiaries of the BBNC, its customers have had tremendous success in contracting with local, state, and federal governments. These cornerstone areas are the foundation of shared services. Within each of these primary support areas, are sub-areas that specialize in delivering comprehensive support to BBSS customers.

CHALLENGE

The Bristol Bay Shared Services back office platform was very complex and required expertise in a multitude of applications and solutions. Their trajectory mandates an ongoing effort to improve IT functionality to grow their business and meet the demands of their customers. In 2011, during the deadliest outbreak of tornadoes ever recorded, BBSS realized they needed a more secure environment.

SOLUTION

As they had since 2004, BBSS turned to Infotek to ensure the security of their back office environment.  Costpoint, Time & Expense, CP Payroll with Ceridian, Procurement, and CER Solutions were implemented.

  • Since the inception, BBSS has grown to support over $392 million in annual revenue
  • Infotek supports 2,800 active employees, and over $150 million in annual employee payroll
